Introducing PQC to the Cybersecurity Ecosystem: Challenges, Impacts, and Strategies (Q31a)
The newly published NIST post-quantum cryptography (PQC) standards enable cyber systems to address quantum threats. This talk highlights the impacts of introducing PQC to the cybersecurity ecosystem, including its effects on public key infrastructure (PKI), Internet protocols, and implementation environments. It discusses new perspectives on using post-quantum key encapsulation mechanisms (KEMs) for key establishment protocols and explores strategies for achieving crypto-agility to harmonize PQC standards within the cybersecurity ecosystem.
