Comparison of Functionality Classes AIS 20/31 and Constructions of SP 800 90 (N20c)
This talk provides a comparison of functionality classes of BSI’s AIS 20/31, DRG.2, DRG.3, DRG.4, PTG.2, PTG.3, NTG.1 with the random number generator constructions and entropy sources of NIST’s SP 800-90 series. The comparison is done to understand the common and contradicting requirements for designs aiming for validation from both standards. This talk is intended to support designers in the development of random number generators that fit to both schemes.
