Volker Urban

Volker Urban currently holds the position of Crypto Firmware Focal Point IBM Z and as such is responsible for the System Firmware components enabling the Crypto functions of the IBM Z mainframe system.
Volker Urban worked in several areas of IBM’s Z mainframe system, e.g. Hardware-Software-Co-Verification, Processor Millicode Development or HSM Firmware Development for the Enterprise PKCS #11 mode of the IBM Crypto Express adapter.
Volker Urban holds a Diploma degree in Information Engineering (2002) from the Berufsakademie Stuttgart, Germany.
