Dr. Michael “Max” Maximilien

Max is an IBM Distinguished Engineer and leader for the teams contributing to Open Quantum and Serverless. Max has held elected and leadership positions in Cloud Foundry and Knative OSS communities. Max’s main expertise are in software engineering and distributed systems. Max published 100+ refereed papers with citations of 7500+ on GoogleScholar, 100s of blogs, and holds 22 patents. Max is an avid amateur photographer and triathlete. Max holds a masters and Ph.D. in computer science.
