Integrating Quantum and Post-Quantum into 140-3 Modules Today (Q13c)
The focus of the talk will be to discuss the “hybrid” classic and quantum/post-quantum approach, where non-approved quantum or post-quantum cryptography is mixed with approved cryptography for encryption, signature, key generation, and key-agreement. It will also touch on what post-quantum crypto is already approved for use within a 140-3 module. Delving into the details of how they can be combined under the 140-3 requirements. Also it will include a very quick summary of the current state of NIST standardization of post quantum crypto, and the steps required to upgrade a validation when one of its post-quantum algorithms moves from non-approved to approved.
