BasQuaNA: Building a Standardized Quantum-Safe Networking Architecture (Q30a)
Data transfer and communication across long distances is one of the many applications subject to the quantum threat. The highly collaborative BaSQuaNa project works to leverage diverse technologies with their own strengths: Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), QKD, satellites and PQC to obtain a pioneering solution to quantum-secure communications over extended distances. This talk will outline the scope of the project and the progress so far into building the first ever transatlantic QKD network between Canada and the UK, with emphasis on the optimisation of open-source PQ library liboqs for Crypto4A’s QxEDGE HSM.
