ACVT – The atsec Experiment (C13b)

ACVT – The atsec Experiment (C13b)

Within the past year, ACVT has been going on at full speed between NIST, the vendors, and the labs. atsec has been a pioneer in this work in collaboration with NIST to develop, test, and improve the ACVT protocol. Many bugs and issues have been found and NIST has diligently addressed those as new versions of the ACVT server rolled out. As a new protocol was defined, the possible cipher options for vendors have changed slightly. In response, atsec has created a new tool accessible to our customers, ACVT Mate. atsec would like to share with the ICMC community the inner workings of the ACVT protocol, the issues that we have faced as a lab, as well as the benefits of ACVT over the former CAVS. Finally, we will also show what ACVT Mate has to offer to our vendors to choose their ACVT options!
