Erin Connor

Program Committee Member.

Erin Connor has been a member of the ICMC Program Committee beginning with the Second ICMC in 2014. He has presented at, and moderated numerous track sessions for, the ICMC and the International Common Criteria Conference.

Erin began with a successful 20-year career as an electronics and systems engineer in the Royal Canadian Navy. Upon his retirement from the RCN in 1994 he joined EWA-Canada working on a variety of systems engineering projects. In 2004 Erin was promoted to Director of Canada’s premier IT Security Evaluation & Testing Facility incorporating a FIPS 140 Cryptographic Module Test Lab, a Common Criteria Test Lab, a Payment Card Industry PIN Transaction Security (PCI PTS) Test Lab and other specialized test and R&D capabilities after having earlier helped stand up, accredit and manage the test labs through their initial years.

Since parting company with EWA in February of 2019 Erin has kept his hand in by helping a number of companies interested in pursuing testing and certification of their security products around his important duties as a grandfather. He has a Master of Science in Systems Science from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Victoria.
