Katrina Khanta

Dr. Katrina Khanta is cybersecurity professional based in the Washington DC area with a background in cyber threat intelligence, digital forensics, and incident response. She is currently a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant working with legal teams on both civil and criminal cases. Dr. Khanta’s doctoral research involved work from Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force teams across the United States to investigate the rise in threat actors targeting children in immersive online gaming environments. There have been plenty of perspectives regarding end-to-end encryption (E2EE) to address the problem In her talk, she argues that weakening or removing E2EE is not the answer to safeguarding children online and is in fact quite the opposite.
