Hunter Barton

Hunter is a member of Oracle’s Security Assurance Group in Global Product Security as a Principal Security Analyst to support Oracle’s security evaluations. Since 2019, Hunter has worked on the lab side and vendor side evaluating FIPS 140 cryptographic modules and supporting the assessment of products undergoing Common Criteria evaluations. Hunter actively participates in several Cryptographic Module User Forum (CMUF) working groups. Hunter works with multiple Oracle lines of business to educate them on the current standard, as well as working to get the cryptographic modules or products through testing and obtain certification. Lastly, Hunter also sits on Oracle’s Crypto Review Board which sets policy on approved ciphers, protocols, and crypto providers to be implemented within Oracle’s security products.
