Real-World PQC Considerations (Q00c)
OK Yay, we’re done! NIST has standardized the first round of PQC algorithms and everyone is happy with them. So life is good and we’re all protected against those nefarious Cryptographically Relevant Quantum Computer-wielding cybercrooks, right?
This talk is an attempt to point out just some of the real-world pitfalls that still await us over the next decade as we struggle to stem the tide by sticking all of our fingers and toes in the massive leaking dam that makes up the modern secure world, in the Post-Post-Quantum Cryptography era. While the PQC standardization effort is a monumental achievement and we all owe NIST an almost incalculable debt of gratitude, WE ARE NOT DONE with the rollout yet. And we may never be.
