An Efficient Approach to Level 1 Service Delivery Modules (C13c)
A working group within the CMUF made up of CMVP, lab, and vendor representatives have been developing a more efficient way to describe and review modules that provide algorithm-level services, such as software libraries. These modules are similar in many ways and the group has developed a suggested, standard approach to the MIS tables. The group is also addressing some of the other challenges in applying the FIPS standards to modules that provide cryptography for a calling application. Representatives from the group will present the background and the results of their work.
