AI-Driven Threats in the Post-Quantum Shift: Operational Insights for Securing Cryptographic Infrastructure (K02c)
As organizations prepare for the post-quantum era, many are starting to integrate PQC libraries and hybrid schemes into their cloud and DevOps environments. But while the algorithms continue to mature, the operational side of this transition is introducing a new set of challenges, especially as AI-assisted attackers take advantage of misconfigurations, weak pipelines, and resource-heavy workloads. These issues resemble what the speakers already see in modern cloud security incidents and create emerging risks for cryptographic services that need to remain trustworthy and certification ready. Drawing on practical experience in cloud security engineering, threat detection, and analyzing compute-abuse behavior, this talk explores how current attack patterns are likely to evolve as PQC adoption grows. The speakers share lessons from securing CI/CD workflows, developing automated detection tools, and monitoring high-load systems, and show how these insights apply directly to PQC-enabled environments. Attendees will walk away with a forward-looking view of PQC operational risks, plus concrete defensive techniques and monitoring strategies. Ultimately, the speakers examine what it will take to deploy post-quantum cryptography securely in a world where AI-driven threats continue to accelerate.
