Biography

As Standards Manager at ISARA, Philip Lafrance works with standards development organizations — including ETSI and ASC X9 — to develop best practices and requirements for the use of, and migration to, post-quantum cryptography. Beyond post-quantum cryptography, he has also contributed to a number of standards and technical reports on topics such as zero trust architectures and public key infrastructures. Philip is an avid writer of blogs and articles and enjoys awareness raising and discussing emerging information security trends.

Currently, Philip serves as Vice Chair of ETSI TC CYBER WG QSC and recently served as Lead Technical Editor on ASC X9’s Quantum Computing Risks to the Financial Services Industry Informative Report. Philip holds a master’s degree in mathematics (University of Waterloo ’17) and a CISSP certification.
