Biography
Before joining DarkMatter, Florian was a participant of the Post-doctorate of Excellence programme at the Instituto Nacional de Matematica Pura e Aplicada (IMPA), the leading mathematical research lab in South America, located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Florian also worked with the Laboratorio de Segurança Informatica (Labsec), in Florianopolis, the most influential computer security research group in Brazil.
During his academic career, Florian worked with leading electronics and semiconductor manufacturer ST-Microelectronic and wrote four papers on techniques from algebraic geometry and random graph theory to tackle problems raised in cryptology.
His work has been published in top mathematical journals and presented at conferences including the International Congress of Mathematicians, the event during which the Fields Medal is awarded.
Florian obtained his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Aix-Marseille Université, France, and has over five years of experience in cryptology.
He has also earned a Master’s degree in Mathematics Applied to Computer Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science.
Florian’s interests span from pure mathematics to computer security and he has experience in both theoretical and applied cryptology.
