Valerie Anne Fenwick is a director in the Security Solutions Enabling division at Intel, focusing on data center security, with over two decades of experience in computer security. She helped to design and develop the cryptographic framework for the Oracle Solaris operating system, and previously worked as a developer on the SunScreen Firewall. She the secretary for the OASIS PKCS#11 (Open Standards Based Crypto API) technical committee. Valerie has a B.S. in Computer Science from Purdue University. She is a co-author of the Solaris 10 Security Essentials book and writes a blog on bicycling, beer and security.
In her spare time, she enjoys performing at community theaters, riding her bike, and skiing.
