Biography

Anne is a Distinguished Engineer in the IBM zSystems Performance and Firmware organization, focusing on cryptographic technology development. She has over 20 years of experience as a development leader for the IBM Hardware Security Module product line and its IBM Common Cryptographic Architecture, which encompasses financial cryptographic services. Anne is the IBM zSystems Cryptographic Technology architect with global IBM zSystems responsibilities. Her mission is to define the best implementation and deployment strategy for cryptography on the zSystems platform (spanning hardware, firmware, and operating systems) and to incorporate advances in emerging cryptographic technology. In that vein, she is currently leading a cross-platform development effort to leverage quantum-safe cryptography in zSystems. Anne is a member of the INCITS/Inclusive Terminology Technical Committee and serves on the advisory board of the Charlotte Chapter of HOPE Worldwide. She is also a past advisory board member for the North Carolina STEM Alliance. Anne enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, strength training, taking long walks on the beach, and solving jigsaw puzzles.
