The First NIST PQC Standards (Q12a)
In July 2022, NIST announced the first four algorithms that it would be standardizing as part of its post-quantum cryptography standardization project. This included algorithms for both key-establishment as well as digital signatures. NIST recently released the drafts of these PQC standards for public comment. It is expected they will be finalized and published in 2024. In this talk, NIST will provide an update on the current status of the PQC standardization effort. This includes the first standards, as well as ongoing and future efforts (the 4th round, the call for additional signatures, migration etc…)
