Real-World Experience with PQC Migration (Q21a)
As hardware security modules (HSMs) with post-quantum cryptography (PQC) capabilities become available, companies with existing public key infrastructure (PKI) and related security service offerings face challenges integrating these new devices and technologies. The evolving support for PQC algorithms in common APIs, such as KMIP and PKCS#11, has caused significant difficulties for both the companies attempting integration and the HSM vendors striving to support their customers in this fluid environment. This talk explores the challenges faced by both integrators and vendors, providing lessons learned to simplify future PQC transitions.
