Practical Open-Source Fully Homomorphic Encryption with the OpenFHE Software Library (G32a)

This talk will present OpenFHE, a widely used open-source Fully Homomorphic Encryption software library. OpenFHE is an open-source project that provides efficient extensible implementations of the leading post-quantum Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) schemes. The speaker will discuss practical uses of OpenFHE in real-world applications, with a focus on usage in financial services, such as to investigate fraud, money laundering and other kinds of financial crimes. The speaker will also discuss the use of OpenFHE for general collaborative data science on sensitive data, such as for the training of neural networks on encrypted imagery. The speaker will also discuss how OpenFHE conforms to existing security standards for applied FHE, and the development of several hardware acceleration co-processors to accelerate FHE operations on encrypted data. OpenFHE has been heavily funded by DARPA, with contributions from leading FHE organizations such as Duality Technologies, Intel, Samsung and MIT, among others.
