PKCS#11 Panel—Vendor Q&A (S20b)
With version 3.0 of the most widely deployed cryptographic API now published as an OASIS Standard and version 3.1 due out in coming months, now is the time to quiz a range of vendors who are actively involved in the specification’s development. Members of the OASIS PKCS#11 Technical Committee are again participating in an interoperability demonstration at ICMC2020 providing attendees with the opportunity to witness live interactions between vendor products supporting the latest PKCS#11 versions and inspiring conference attendees to come up with some challenging questions. With a range of new mechanisms added as well as the recent adoption of XML-based testing, the PKCS#11 TC has made significant steps toward true, multi-vendor interoperability of the standard. Coupled with the ability to use another OASIS standard (KMIP) as a standardized network transport, this level of flexibility and capability means implementers and purchasers alike have far greater opportunities to meet the requirements brought by modern deployments. This is your opportunity to have your PKCS#11 questions answered and provide feedback on the latest Cryptoki versions.
