FedRAMP—Introduction and Update (C42d)

Cloud has become an inevitable infrastructure for government agencies world wide. So, securing workloads in the cloud has become a high priority task. FedRAMP is an established US government Risk Management program to secure Cloud infrastructure and the workloads. FedRAMP heavily depends on FIPS and resembles Common Criteria in its technical controls. This talk will illustrate how people involved in FIPS will dragged into FedRAMP in various aspects. It will also illustrate how people who are knowledgeable in Common Criteria will have easier time getting into FedRAMP. This talk will be a spring-board for FIPS and Common Criteria certification engineers, project managers, and QA professionals to get to know FedRAMP in a short session.
